When we evacuated our home in Tahoe during the Caldor Fire we decided to visit family across the country …
My parents live on the Vermont border, in upstate New York. Usually I find myself there in late fall because that is when my schedule has allowed for it. For this reason my New England and Upstate New York landscape photography has had a fairly dark and grey theme. However, this trip offered a rare opportunity for us to be there at the end of summer, when everything is still very green and when quite a bit of water was flowing in rivers and streams nearby. It happened to be the tail end of an unseasonably wet summer, which presented the perfect opportunity to go shoot waterfalls.
