New Lake Tahoe Image: Wolf Moon Rising

For centuries the first full moon in January has been referred to as the “Wolf Moon.” On this evening I skied out to a point at the end of a south shore beach to photograph it rising over the lake and over an inversion layer that was just beginning to settle in. The timing was ideal since the sun had just set and there was enough light to work with where the surrounding landscape could be photographed with the moon.
