Tahoe Quarterly: Spring Corn Snow Conditions

Recent Tahoe Quarterly tear sheet in a story on “corn snow” in California, which is the essential ingredient for good spring skiing/riding conditions. 

In this image splitboarder Anthony Cupaiuolo (First Tracks Productions) is descending the north bowl of Mt. Tallac just as the snow began to soften up and transition into corn.
