Departing from Rome, OR for a paddle down the remote Lower Oywhee in Eastern Oregon.
3 packrafts, 1 oar rig raft, 1 cattle dog, 6 humans, 50 miles, countless hilarious moment, a wild and scenic river canyon where I took many landscape images that I look forward to sharing. The very best of these images will be added to the Cascadia Gallery.



This bridge and the agricultural land a bit downstream were essentially our last signs of civilization for the next 50 or so miles. The only exception being other rafters/kayakers and various primitive camping areas. Truly a remote and wild and scenic canyon.
Unlike our previous eastern/central Oregon rafting trips, we had mostly warm and sunny weather on this adventure. Like previous eastern/central Oregon rafting trips, we still started out in the rain …
