Journey Down the Lower Owyhee (GoPro 11 Mini, GoPro 8)

In May of 2023 our group (3 packrafts, 1 raft) took advantage of the above average spring runoff in the Owyhee River Canyon to float the roughly 50 mile section of wild and scenic river from Rome, OR to Birch Creek, OR.

While my focus was primarily on still photography, we documented the adventure with two GoPro cameras throughout the trip.

With mostly warm weather and the river holding steady above 1400 CFS, timing/conditions were ideal and this remote eastern Oregon canyon was well worth the visit.
