Scenes from our last hike of Fall (2022), just before the atmospheric rivers arrived and the snow began to fly. It was a short memorable hike to the summit of Hawkins Peak (Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest) with great views in all directions. We got up to the top late in the day, down to the car just before sunset. This was a perfect example of a peak close to home that we had never hiked before despite all of the hours we’ve spent exploring the surrounding area.
