Highway 1 on the north coast (California) is not to be taken lightly in heavy rain and dense fog. Fortunately, those in this vehicle were able to hike out and appeared unharmed, but for obvious reasons the incident could have been far worse for them last Sunday afternoon. No risk of spread with the wet conditions, but firefighters quickly hiked down to put out the vehicle fire. I happened to be just a few minutes behind this vehicle and did not see it happen, but can only assume they were driving way too fast for the conditions.
