While camping at this beach I’ve had a lot of luck shooting sunsets out towards the open ocean (Example: Vibrant Morro Strand Sunset), but until recently the clouds never lined up well for me above the iconic Morro Rock at sunset. Fortunately, on the last night of our coastal camping trip, and just before a storm blew in, the sky and colors did allow me to frame the image in a way that made this geological wonder a major element in the scene.
This image, “Late Fall Morro Strand Sunset” has recently been added to the California Coast Gallery.
