Park Fire Images

While on an unrelated trip we found ourselves driving through Chico, CA as the massive and destructive Park Fire blew up. Here are some of the images that I took from vantage points around the fire on the afternoon of July 25, 2024. The pyrocumulus cloud was visible from well over 100 miles to the west. Given the fuel conditions and weather this will be a long and challenging battle for firefighters to establish meaningful containment on.
