The Nevada desert is a special environment to find yourself in this time of day, as shadows move across a vast landscape, temperatures drop rapidly, the vegetation glows in the low angle sun, and great contrast can be seen in the topography.
This was a great road trip where we were able to soak in hot springs, check out ancient petroglyphs and prehistoric fossils, visit remote ghost towns, and camp with no one in sight for many miles.
