After shooting the Solvang Century I camped in Morro Bay on my way back north. The next morning I walked around to shoot stock photos and other scenes that caught my eye. It was nice to see the paddlers hit the calm bay under morning light, which motivated me to capture these scenes.
Morro Bay has always been a nice stop during visits to the Central Coast. We enjoy the town itself and the mostly undeveloped coastline to the north leading into Big Sur.
Landscapes from the region can be viewed and purchased as wall art here: https://store.davidnbraun.com/california-coast-landscape-photography

Calm before the storm, with clouds just starting to build in the distance. I had no idea what to expect at the end of this coastal hike, but I was rewarded with this view to the north. The weather was calm and warm, but storms were lined up to the the west and the clouds that can be seen in this image were the start of a pattern shift towards more active weather.
