The Aurora Borealis as Seen from a Sierra Nevada Mountain Pass
I spent last Thursday evening watching and shooting the aurora in and around the Lake Tahoe Basin, but I settled on this image from Carson Pass (Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest) because it was the most vibrant moment I witnessed while I was out. Absolutely surreal to experience the Northern Lights like this at our latitude.
