Phipps Peak/Desolation Wilderness Overnight Ski Tour (Lightroom Slideshow)

Lake Tahoe Basin. Desolation Wilderness. February 2022.

Lake Tahoe Basin overnight ski/splitboard tour to Middle Velma Lake and up Phipps Peak (9,234 ft) during spring-like conditions in February 2022. This particular peak does not get skied often because of it’s remote location. It was great to be on this peak at the end of the day and then ski right down to camp just before sunset.
